Shelter from the Storm celebrates the tremendous music of Bob Dylan by performing live shows of his songs with arrangements in the spirit of his peak eras with the Band, the Heartbreakers, etc., and an emphasis on great vocals. We do NOT do a Bob Dylan impersonation. This is NOT about looking like him or imitating his voice. We play Dylan's music the way both hardcore and more casual fans want to hear it... emphasizing the gorgeous melodies that are often lost in Bob's own live readings, and honoring his unparalleled lyricism with great, accessible vocals and harmonies.
The band consists of four career musicians who are not only serious Dylan enthusiasts but also each have many successful musical credits of their own. Mark Miller, who plays primarily bass and mandolin in this band, is a multi-instrumentalist best known throughout the Midwest for his work and albums with psychedelic folkgrass band Highly Likely (buy their albums!), as well as the Kentucky Back Roads. Logan Flum is a virtuoso on both keys and guitar with acclaimed indie band Freak Mythology (check out their fantastic albums!), and contributes piano, B3, and lead guitar in this band. Dennis O'Hagan handles guitar, harp, and most lead vocal duties in Shelter, and has a long history fronting indie bands such as the psychedelic underground bands Voodoo Loons and Wolfticket (check out their albums too!), and since 2018 has been touring all over the US with his Great Brewery Tour, which so far has played more than 800 craft breweries in 45 states.

SETLISTS
Perhaps no other artist has a catalog as extensive as Dylan's, and in the tradition of the Grateful Dead (who toured as Dylan's band in 1987), Shelter From the Storm strives to make every show unique, and as such changes up its setlists each night. In fact, when booked to play more than one night (festivals, etc.) you can expect a totally different setlist each night. Here is a partial list of tunes we draw from (it grows every day)...
